Travel - from Henri Coanda International Airport

Most international flights arrive at Henri Coanda International Airport (Otopeni), located about 12 miles north of downtown Bucharest. There are direct flights from multiple destinations in Europe and connecting flights from the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. There are also scheduled domestic flights from/to the major cities.

Transportation to Bucharest:

783 Express Bus runs from Henri Coanda International Airport to the city center. (Duration: approx. 45 minutes)
780 Express Bus runs from Henri Coanda International Airport to Bucharest North Railway Station. (Duration: approx. 30 minutes)
Henri Coanda Express Train connects the Airport to Bucharest North Railway Station. A special bus ensures the transfer from the airport terminals to the Express Train Station. The bus stop is right outside the Arrivals Terminal.

Transportation to Constanta:
You can reach Constanta by train or by car/ bus.

By train: Constanta Train Station (Gara Constanta) There are daily trains from/to Bucharest. Trains from/to other major cities in Romania and destinations in Europe connect in Bucharest. There is daily Intercity (Express) service between Bucharest and Constanta.
2) By car/bus: The recommended route from Bucharest to Constanta is on A2 motorway. The approximate journey time is two and a half hours. Airport shuttle to and from Constanta can be booked in advance:

The price of a one way ticket is around 80 Ron (approx. 23 USD). Constanta Maritime University will happily take care of the bookings based on participants’ flight details. However, participants will be required to pay the ticket at departure. At Mihail Kogălniceanu International Airport arrive most domestic flights as well as international flights from Istanbul and Bergamo. Flights to/from Istanbul are currently available only on Thursday and Sunday.
